Ankle and foot mobility are vital to whole body health. Wearing shoes, especially boots, limits the mobility of the joints in your feet and ankles. When you don't move your joints, you eventually lose the ability to move them.
When a joint can't move properly, other areas of the body compensate to keep you on your feet and moving.
In today’s video you’ll learn a simple exercise packed with ankle and foot mobility benefits that can easily be practiced multiple times every day.
If you try it out, don’t be surprised if your foot cramps. Foot cramping is a sign you’re waking up connections that haven’t been used for some time!
If your foot does cramp, simply come out of the exercise until the cramping subsides. Then try the exercise again.
If you try this simple stretch, let me know how it goes in the comments below.
See you in the studio!

Hi Sydney! What a great video for a little thought of place in our bodies! Miss you!
Thanks Michelle! I miss you too!!
Hi Sydney, great video (like all your videos), thank you. Also where did you get those toe spacers (or whatever they are called). I have yoga toes but they are really puffy and I cannot walk with them. Thanks again.
Hi Ricci, I’m wearing Correct Toes and they are awesome. I sell them in the studio, but you can buy them direct from their site. Thanks so much for your feedback!

That was such a great stretch that I REALLY needed this morning after waking up with a tight left ankle
So glad it was helpful Rebecca. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Sidney,
Thanks again and again for these well produced videos. Every time you nail it and I love that you share the funny fits and starts too!
I have a question about the toe wideners that you wear. They look comfortable since you always have them on. What kind are they? I need some.
All the best for 2016 and thanks so much for sharing so wonderfully and intelligently the knowledge you’re amassing for all of us.
Kind regards,
Laura
