Last week, a participant approached me with a question after my Active Alignment mat class.
She’d recently taken a 30-mile bike ride that left one side of her body feeling uncomfortable and tight.
Although the mat class was full of exercises that felt like “exactly what she needed,” the nagging tightness from the bike ride still lingered.
“Do you have a stretch for this area?” she asked, turning to show me her left side as she rubbed her hand along her back and side between her ribcage and hips.
Right away, one of my favorite standing stretches came to mind.
I showed her the exercise, and she was eager to try it.
As she did, I heard her exclaim, “That’s getting it!”
What’s the moral of this story?
Sometimes, it takes a little exploring to find the perfect movement to relieve those hard-to-reach, nagging tight spots in your body.
The exercise you’ll learn in today’s video is the perfect tool to help you explore.
It’s also the stretch that brought relief to the woman in the story above!
Depending on your unique tight spots, you might feel this one in your waist, hips, ribs, legs, and arms, or even all of these areas.
After you check it out, I’d love to know how it goes! You can reply to this email or leave a comment below to tell me.
With a relieving side bend,
Sydney
